A lot of people say that the criminal who was crucified beside Jesus received his salvation through faith alone, without any works added to it. But one thing we often overlook is that communication with God is also a work of faith that even becomes the first step of faith for many believers.
Communication, according to the dictionary, involves exchanging thoughts, opinions, or information. Therefore, when someone reaches out to God, they are recognizing His existence and opening their hearts to engage in a conversation with Him and receive His reply. And vice versa, when there is a disturbance to our faith, usually we start to neglect this: becoming more reluctant to pray, to read bible, and to worship Him.
Next, we then will look for more communication with our distractions and slowly strayed away from God. So now, if we find ourselves drifted in a distance, remember that the path is always open, because Lord Jesus has paid the price and we only need to take a step of Faith again, whatever our circumstances, just like our brother who decided to talk to The King even when he's on death's door.
And he was saying, “Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” Jesus said to him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23: 42-43 AMP)
Jesus bless You!
